As part of our ongoing resource roundup, last week we provided some our top picks of free online courses to get stuck into. This week, we’re back to shine a light on some helpful grants, awards and funds being made available to creatives.

Emergency Funding Package, Art Council England (UK)
In response to our current health crisis, Art Council England have put in place a plan to help both creative organisations and individuals that have been financially hit by Covid-19. If you’re applying as an individual, you could be eligible to receive up to £2,500. As an organisation you could be offered up to £35,000.

The first round of applications has now closed – but you can still apply for the second round. Key dates to note: Applications open on 16 April and applicants will need to register by 27 April and complete the application by 30 April. Please note it is essential you register in order to move forward and complete the application. For more information click here.

GUAP Fund (UK)
The good folk over at GUAP have committed to helping out their community by giving £100 to a different creative each week through #GUAPFUND. To apply you must be:
• Aged 16-30
• A freelancer
• Is unable to create due to a lack of funds
• Have been actively creating prior to Covid-19

The Film and TV Covid-19 Emergency Relief Fund (UK)
This fund was made possible by The Film and TV Charity in partnership with BFI, with a combined goal – to support active workers in TV, film and cinema with one-off grants. These grants range from £500 to £2,500. Applications will be based on needs, and not on a first come first served basis. The application deadline is 22 April at 6pm.

#ShowUs Grant, Getty Images (International)
Media company, Getty Images have introduced their new grant that will provide financial support and mentorship to women, female-identifying and non-binary photographers who are committed to debunking stereotypes through their commercial and videography work. If you fit this description and have been shooting for less than five years – please do apply.

Applicants will be assessed by a panel of judges representing Dove, Getty Images, Girlgaze and Sapient Razorfish. The winner will receive $10,000. For more information click here.
