It’s Nice That X Wix: Web Design in Focus

Join It’s Nice That for an in-depth look at creating original websites!

It’s Nice That have teamed up with Wix Playground to bring you an evening of talks by top web designers International Magic, Hato, Yehwan Song and Order.

Join them on Thursday 5th November at 6:15 PM GMT as leading global creatives will showcase experimental website projects that push the boundaries of web design.

It’s all taking place on Zoom, and tickets are free. All you have to do is RSVP here.

Weekly mentoring from Freestar X The People

Freestar and The People are running a weekly speed mentoring hotline for anyone who is young and unemployed.

They’re looking to offer advice and guidance to any young person looking for work. That includes everything from CV writing, job applications and industry knowledge, or just general questions.

With over 11 mentors already signed up from a variety of different industries, it’s an opportunity not to be missed.

Junior copywriter internship at Big Potato Games

If you’re the kind of person who can “write like dynamite, laughs in the face of spell-check and has played a few board games in your time”, you’ll want to check out this internship from indie board game company, Big Potato Games.

Based in Shoreditch, the copywriting department is opening its literary doors in the hope of finding a brilliant new copywriter to join the team. If that’s you, you’ll start as a junior copywriter on a 6-month long internship, helping the team with newsletters, writing scripts, and creating content for some of their brand new, top-secret games.

Junior designer role at Construct

Are you a conceptual thinker with a hunger to learn? This could be right up your street. Bath-based studio, Construct, are looking for a junior designer designer to join the team.

You’ll be supporting and working alongside the creative director and design director on a diverse range of projects – that's everything from print, digital and packaging to art direction.

They’re looking for someone with 1-2 years experience working within a studio environment.

Marjorie Dean internship from The Financial Times

The Financial Times is offering a six-month internship, supported by the Marjorie Deane Foundation. This is a great opportunity for a promising journalist interested in finance and economics to gain paid work experience at one of the world’s leading news organisations.

Marjorie Deane was a pioneering financial journalist who broke down barriers for women in a career that spanned four decades at The Economist. She set up the foundation with the aim of encouraging young journalists into financial reporting.

This is initially being offered as a remote placement, and the successful applicant will receive a monthly bursary above the London Living Wage.

Lancashire-based award-winning design studio, A.T. Studio, is looking for a junior art director!

If you’re a natural visual thinker with the confidence to generate brilliant new creative ideas, this could be for you. The team are looking for a technically proficient, motivated, and driven individual with 3+ years experience.

You’ll be creating visual concepts across a variety of platforms including marketing materials and packaging to motion graphics and branding.
