Up for grabs this time are a £500 grant for freelance writers, some top-notch online events from Shiny Network and Superunion – plus a paid training and placement from Livity.
Paid training and placement from Livity
Livity’s paid training and placement programme is offering hands-on experience in account management, strategy and creative.
Kicking off in November, you’ll get a month’s training, followed by a month-long placement at Livity, all paid at London Living Wage. They’re particularly interested in people aged 18-24 from minority backgrounds looking to break into the creative and digital industries.

2-3 Degrees are hosting a number of free online workshops for 14 to 25-year-olds. From how to carve out your career in the tech and creative industry to perfecting your personal statement, there’s something for everyone.

Freelance career management platform, UnderPinned, have just released their second UP & Go Grant. If you’re a journalist, copywriter, poet, or author over the age of 18 who operates in the UK, this is your chance to receive a grant of £500.

Free virtual event from Superunion
Brand agency Superunion are inviting young designers to join them for Happy Hour: Design Edition. The panel will share stories about looking for work in unprecedented times, how they landed their first job, tips on finding the right studio, the trials and tribulations of starting out and more.

Meet commissioners at this free online event
Shiny Network have invited Atlantic Records’ Dan Curwin and Facebook’s Becky Own to share insights into the life of a leading branded content commissioner and a music video commissioner. This is a chance to hear their thoughts about commissioning and what makes a great director.

Coventry Emerging Artist Awards
The Coventry Emerging Artist Awards provides three awards of up to £10,000 to d/Deaf, disabled and/or neurodivergent artists who live and/or regularly work within a CV postcode. This covers Coventry and parts of wider Warwickshire.
