In October 2016 we ran a Kickstarter campaign in an attempt to raise £35,000 to get Lecture in Progress off the ground. We weren’t successful in hitting the target but the overwhelmingly positive reaction we received to what we’re trying to do has meant we’re committed to pursuing Lecture in Progress and are identifying the relevant changes we need to make.
Access to Lecture in Progress will be through membership. More details will be announced in January 2017.
We are a group of people passionate about helping the next generation of creatives thrive after graduation. The team will be led by Will Hudson (founder of It’s Nice That) and in the first instance will include a full time editor and project manager working alongside a larger network of freelance writers, photographers and illustrators.
In January 2017 Lecture in Progress will appoint a series of Fellows across each of the focus disciplines – Graphic design, illustration, photography, set design, animation, film and advertising. Each fellow will consult on the editorial direction of Lecture in Progress as well as introducing relevant creatives within their field and helping to judge the awards. Fellows will be appointed every January and asked to serve for two years.
We are looking to work with a number of brands to support Lecture in Progress each year and help them build meaningful relationships with the next generation of creatives. For more information please get in touch with Will Hudson ([email protected]).
Alongside the full time team at Lecture in Progress we work with a number of collaborators on a regular basis. These currently include Dan Powell (developer), Jake Green (photographer) and Jiro Bevis (illustrator).
